Late Evening Husky Safari – Be Your Own Musher (7:00 PM–11:00 PM)
The adventure begins in the late evening with a short transfer of approximately one kilometre from your accommodation to the starting point. Upon arrival, our eager and energetic huskies are already waiting, setting the tone for an authentic Arctic experience.
Before departure, we carefully go through driving and safety instructions. After that, you step into the role of a musher yourself, steering your own husky team through the silent wilderness of Lapland.
The safari follows a varied and immersive route across open boglands and through dark, snowy forests. Guided by the beam of your headlamp, the surrounding nature feels raw and powerful, creating a truly adventurous and unforgettable atmosphere.
The journey takes us to Honkivaara, where a traditional wilderness shelter (laavu) and the warmth of a campfire await. By the fire, we enjoy hot drinks and grill traditional Haikku sausages. Thanks to the remote location and complete absence of light pollution, we have excellent chances to witness the Northern Lights illuminating the night sky.
